If you have a pool in your yard, you probably know that maintaining it is not easy. Because of that, most pool owners choose to hire a pool service provider. However, this is not the only way to do things. You can always do some things on your own, but you have to avoid these mistakes:

Not checking the pool’s chemistry

You have to check the chemistry of your pool once a week in the winter and twice a week in the summer. This way, you will be able to do some small changes to the water’s chemistry. When you keep the pH in balance, you use the chlorine in the water to its full potential.

Not cleaning the cells in the chlorine generators

Salt water systems have to be cleaned on a regular basis in order to stay safe and clean. Calcified or corroded cells will produce chlorine that will compromise your safety. But if you don’t know how the cells should be cleaned, be sure to give Contra Costa Pools Inc a call and book our pool service.
